Reflections - Creating an E-Book using Book Builder

The e-book was challenging to create. I tried to use all elements suggested in Book Builder as I designed each page. My task was to write for blind and hearing impaired students. I focused on finding sound clips to add to my story. This is not easy! There are a few places that offer sound clips free of charge. Those places do not have the sounds I needed. I worked on the project for about five hours once I decided on the concept. I also looked for pictures to fit the story setting. Since I looked at the characters in the story, I had to find images to represent each character. There is one sound effect I am not satisfied with. I also noticed that I could use animated gif files. If I decide to complete additional editing, I may try to find animated pictures and images to use. The link to my e-book is below. My book title is "Character Stories for How Coyote Stole Fire." Electronic books are a great way for teachers and students to share the written word. Students can create their own e-book on any subject, including math, science, social studies, or whatever. It is practical and a great way to reinforce learning.
